A Simple Script to Change Your Address
We always prefer to update our information via a website, but that’s not always an option. Here is a simple script for when you need to call a service to update your address.
Come prepared with your account number (this can usually be found on a bill!)
Don’t forget to keep a notebook around so you can take a few notes!
Hi! Hope you’re having a great day. My name is [Your Name] and I'm calling because I am moving/have moved and need to change my address. My current account number is [account number] and the service address I need to change is [current address]. I am moving and my new service address will be [new address] effective [move-in date]. Is there any additional information I need to provide, or any fees associated with changing my address? Thank you for your assistance with this change. Is there anything else I need to do on my end? Could you please confirm the new service address on my account is [new address]? May I please have a confirmation number or reference for this address change?"
