Here’s what to say when you don’t know what to say.

Oh, my darling friend, thank you for sharing that with me. I am so sorry that is something you survived. You did not deserve that, no one does. You deserved and deserve so much more, so much better. I am so glad that you feel safe telling me this. Do you feel like you need outside support? Can I help you find a therapist? I am constantly amazed at the person you are, and this adds another layer, you are so tough, but I am sorry you had to be. I am holding you in my heart.

Text these scripts, email them, leave them as a voicemail, or as the basis of a phone call or conversation in person. These scripts can be used over and over and across all platforms. We hope they help. We want to support you so that you can support your people.
