How to tell your babysitter that you’re getting divorced

These scripts should serve as a guide for tough, trying, and tremendous life moments.

We’re here to support you in supporting your people. We’re proud of you. And we’ve got you.

Here’s what to say when you don’t know what to say.

Hey Emily, Hope all is well! There's something I wanted to give you a little family update. Jamie and I have decided to get a divorce. It's a big change, but we're committed to making this transition smooth for everyone, especially Hailey and Luke. Things might seem a little different around here for a while, but know that you're still very much needed and appreciated. We'll chat more about it next time you come over, and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for your understanding! I’m so glad the kids have you right now (I’m so glad we all have you!).
