Once your registry is created, you’ll receive a personalized link that you can share via email, text, social media, or anywhere else you’d like. We recommend connecting directly with friends and family, because the registry and support is all about connection. Don’t know what to say? We’ve got you — check out our scripts for what to say when sending your registry.
You can browse and create a registry anonymously if you choose, and you’re in control of how much you share. When connecting with Experts, you’ll need to provide contact info, but that happens off of Fresh Starts we for your privacy we do not handle Expert communications or booking. Your privacy is always respected here.

Becoming & Being An Expert
We host events and co-working sessions on Zoom, and community chats happen in our private Slack space where experts share advice, wins, and referrals.
Once you submit your profile materials and complete your payment, your profile usually goes live within 1–3 business days. We’ll notify you as soon as you're up and running and ready to be discovered by the Fresh Starts community and beyond.
You don’t need a polished website to join, but you should have a professional offering and be aligned with Fresh Starts’ mission of supporting people through transitions. Credentials depend on your field — coaches, therapists, and other experts should have relevant training or experience.
Cohorts and workshops are typically included in Premium Expert Listing membership, and offered to Essential Expert Listing members at a discounted rate. Some community-wide events are open to all.
Fresh Starts has very strong SEO, so your profile is more likely to appear when people search for support during life transitions like divorce or starting over. Beyond organic search, people discover your profile through our website, social media features, newsletters, and regular media placements. Our CEO also holds weekly meetings with individuals navigating divorce and personally sends them referrals from the Expert Guide — meaning your listing can be directly recommended to someone looking for your exact expertise. We’re constantly driving traffic and connections to help the right people find you.
Not at all! While participation isn’t required, we do find that attending events and showing up regularly is a powerful way to engage with the community and grow your business organically. It’s a chance to build genuine connections, share your expertise, and receive referrals. If you’re interested in community growth through networking, we highly recommend taking part — but we also understand that life gets busy, and you can still benefit from your listing even if you’re less active.

You will now have access to the dashboard using the same login you use to pay and manage your account. This has all the information about schedules, scheduling, ways to participate, access to the video library, content library and more! The dashboard also has the Zoom link to the room we hang in for our weekly recurring events.
You will receive an email from Squarespace confirming your membership and payment.
We will review your profile details and information.
If we approve your listing your profile will go live in 1-3 business days.
We will send an email once your profile is live! If we have any questions or any information is missing we will note it in this email.
If you’ve joined the Premium Expert Listing Level:
Another email will come through with ways to get involved and get the ball rolling!
The first Sunday after your profile is live you will begin getting our weekly Expert email which outlines any special events through the week, new opportunities and more.

We offer two levels of membership to meet you where you are:
Essential Expert Listing – $25.00/month or $280.00/year
This includes a listing in the Fresh Starts Expert Guide, an SEO-optimized personalized profile, priority access to cohorts, classes, and webinars, plus exclusive discounts on those offerings.
Premium Expert Listing – $55.00/month or $640.00/year
This includes everything in the Essential Listing plus full Community Membership benefits: curated press opportunities, weekly co-working and coaching sessions, podcast guesting, networking events, access to our content and video libraries, the ability to publish articles, and have your events featured in our newsletter.
And don’t forget: write off the entire cost of membership as a legitimate business expense!
As Fresh Starts believes that a rising tide raises all ships, we have no plans at this time to cap membership or categories. We are firm believers in community and collaboration over competition. In an effort to prevent overwhelm for Freshies looking to connect with Experts we have made a commitment to thoroughly vet all incoming experts and maintain a curated experience.
Fresh Starts provides a platform to connect with potential clients. However, booking clients ultimately depends on various factors such as your marketing efforts, client acquisition skills, service offerings, and market demand. Fresh Starts does not guarantee that you will book clients or achieve a specific ROI. The information and connections provided are intended to support your business growth, but success ultimately depends on your individual efforts and market conditions.
Our Expert Community is meant to be a development tool in the growth and development of your company. Despite our many website hits and the hiring of our experts by Freshies, that is not our focus- our focus is getting your business collateral, website, social media and marketing to a place that is thriving for you. Additionally, our network has far reaches, particularly into the press and media- when you sign up for a membership with Fresh Starts you are on our PR list and we are constantly looking to get you placements across the media landscape. Between our many hours of business development assistance each week, press opportunities, over 200 pages of content and workbooks, hours of video content webinars and community networking we’re confident an involved community member will feel that the return is far more than $25 or $55 a month.

When people are going through big transitions, they utilize on average 10 experts, and the Fresh Starts Registry expert network serves as a referral system from expert to expert, as well.
Yes, you can cancel at any time or reach out to discuss pausing if your circumstances change. We’re here to support you through life’s transitions — no judgment. However, please note that if you’re on the legacy rate of $37 and choose to pause or cancel, you will need to pay the current rate of $55 to reactivate the same level of membership.

Press and Media Opps
Press and Media opportunities are a huge part of becoming a Fresh Starts Expert - so, how exactly do they work? See below for information and let us know if you have questions!
One of the perks of being a Fresh Starts Expert is we always have our eyes out for any opportunity for you! If something comes our way that is a good fit for you, we will be in touch via Slack or email.
Just as with traditional public relations, we cannot guarantee any publication, however, we're always working on relationships with journalists, which always helps!
While we work diligently to secure media placements for our clients, we cannot guarantee press coverage. The media landscape is dynamic, and factors beyond our control, such as editorial calendars and news cycles, can influence the success of a pitch.
However, we employ the same strategic approaches as traditional publicists to maximize our clients' media exposure. This includes multiple team members sourcing opportunities daily, creatively approaching requests, pitching relevant journalists, and building strong relationships with media outlets. Our goal is to increase your visibility and generate positive media attention.
We track everything and follow up with journalists. Sometimes publishing can take a day, sometimes a week, and sometimes even months! It is all dependent on the piece, the outlet, the journalist, and so forth. When a press piece is published, you will get an email with all of the information and links!
Please answer the queries with original, thorough, and thoughtful responses. Responses should be at least 5-6 sentences long. We know it takes time, but we have to submit original responses (aka, the responses cannot be previously published anywhere online, even on your own blog or website); often journalists run the responses through a filter to make sure they are original! Please make sure to respond within the deadline, as journalism can be fast-moving!
Great question. If our team sees a press opportunity that would be a good fit for you, based on your expertise and experience, we will send an email to you. These emails will come from olivia@freshstartsregistry.com. Included in the email will be a press query, a deadline, and information. We do not share the press outlets with the experts, as those are liable to change.
There are two types of emails you may get: personal press queries and general press queries. If it's a general press query, it is sent to more than one person, and you do not have to answer the query (if you are short on time, or feel that you cannot answer it). You will know it is a general press query because your name will not be included in the body of the email.
However, personal press queries are sent to you when we have worked with a journalist to secure a quote for you in a publication. These are mandatory to answer, as the journalist is waiting for your response. It is critical that we build long-term relationships with journalists, so please keep this in mind!
