A little about Susan...
SUSAN PEASE GADOUA is an American psychotherapist, author, and speaker known for her influential work on modern relationships and alternative marriage models. Her writing—most notably "The New I Do: Reshaping Marriage for Skeptics, Realists and Rebels (co-authored with Vicki Larson)—challenges conventional views of marriage, divorce, and personal fulfillment, helping individuals rethink partnership in contemporary life. Through her books, media presence, and workshops, Gadoua has changed the conversations both therapists and couples have regarding marriage as a customizable partnership rather than a fixed institution. Susan developed the Parenting Marriage concept in 2007 and it has since become a popular alternative to divorce throughout the world.

Testimonials
From a therapist who took my Changing Marriage Institute Certification: “The Changing Marriage Institute certification courses were incredibly valuable — teaching me how to guide couples down whichever path they choose, staying together, or uncoupling. They gave me insight and tools to help couples 1) figure out what they want, 2) how to craft what they want in traditional or non-traditional ways, and 3) how to support them in the post-decision stage. Most couples I’ve encountered need help in one or all of these areas, and I haven’t found any resources out there as comprehensive as this one!” ~ Autumn Carlin, San Francisco
From a therapist who took my Changing Marriage Institute Certification: I have learned such important information about how to best support those who are contemplating divorce, mid-divorce, or clients who are post-divorce since taking Susan's courses through the Changing Marriage Institute. Navigating divorce is such a huge part of the work I do with couples, so it has been invaluable to me. This course is definitely something that every therapist would benefit from receiving! ~ Lindsay Glass, Sacramento, CA
