You may not know this, but your Fresh Starts profile is SEO-optimized and can stand in place of a website. Everything you accomplish with Fresh Starts (press, podcast, videos) will live on your profile, so potential clients can get a really holistic representation of who you are!

Co-working Sessions

Co-working spaces for accountability play a crucial role in fostering productivity and motivation and provide a structured environment where Experts can gather regularly to work on their respective projects or tasks. The shared workspace creates a sense of collective responsibility, as individuals are surrounded by like-minded individuals striving towards their goals. Drop in anytime during the hour to get work done in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

Open Office Hours

Feel free to drop in anytime within the hour to get support in any aspect of your business, we're here to talk about any of the following topics: social media (development, content, creation, strategy, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc), overall marketing (website design, graphic design, logo design, etc), workshop development, networking, pitch deck development, podcast pitching, business development ideas, general business coaching, or just come to say hi and bounce ideas! We love to see you always!

Get Shit Done Hour

Join us on Fridays for one focused hour to close out the week and set yourself up properly for the weekend and week ahead! With the support of your community behind you make this hour count! So what can you do in one hour? We have some ideas!

We'll begin by checking in to see what everyone is working on, and work steadily for 55 minutes, and check in at the end to hear what everyone accomplished! Feel free to drop in within the hour.

Workshops

Workshops within the Expert Community are guided by either Olivia or Jenny and cover a range of topics, including but not limited to, marketing, social media, business structuring, workflow, client relations, business development, communications, book writing, pitching yourself, press and media, podcasting, and more. The workshops are 45 minutes, with time at the end for live questions. All workshops will be recorded and available in the video library.

A Fresh Start to the Week

Start your week on a fresh note with accountability, goal setting, and community. Join certified Life and Success Coach Olivia Howell for a 45 minute Monday morning meeting to set yourself up for a successful week! Each session includes guided 10 minute co-working sprints to organize and clear your desk for your personal life, professional and business stuff, and setting goals and making your to-do list. Each session will end with a 5 minute hype-up for the week.

Lunch and Learn Seminars

Lunch and Learn Seminars are held monthly and exclusive to the FSR Community. They are guided by someone from the outside business world to come in and teach the Experts about a topic in business, communications, marketing, and more. Past topics have included brand strategy, email marketing, and content development. We have some amazing speakers coming in 2023!

Experts for Experts Workshops

Experts for Experts Workshops are held monthly, and they are workshop guided by one of our very own FSR experts! These are exclusive to the FSR community and a great opportunity to learn more about business development, social media, client relations, and much more. In the past, topics have been ditching mindset blocks to grow your business, conflict communication, using intuition to get clients, and more. Coming up are topics on business automation, content development, and social media scheduling.

Our PR team curates press and media opportunities specifically for our Experts, and sends them right to your inbox! Getting your name out into the world can be a challenge, and take time and energy, but with our monthly membership, you'll have access to press and media opportunities that can help you gain exposure and grow your brand. Our PR team also supports you with guidance to help you craft your message and pitch yourself effectively, as well as increased visibility and credibility for your brand through published pieces of press, podcast spots, and more.

With over 700+ published pieces of press in the past year, you can trust that our team knows how to get your name out there and help you achieve your goals.

Podcast

New for 2023, we've launched Five Fresh Tips, a Fresh Starts' Podcast, and every expert has the opportunity to record an episode! We'll be in touch to set up your recording. Five Fresh Tips is available on all major podcast platforms.

Instagram Live

Every expert has the opportunity for an IG Live to introduce themselves to the Fresh Starts public and give some information on who you are, what you do, and how you work with clients.

Community Events

Exclusive Access

Fresh Starts Experts have priority access to any public workshops, cohorts, conferences, retreats. Experts will also receive a special discount for any of these events. Information about any paid event access will be released to the Fresh Starts Experts ahead of the general public.

Coffee Break Networking Sessions

Think of the other Experts in the Fresh Starts community as your personal and business hype team! Coffee breaks are our version of casual networking events. Come with a cup of coffee, chat on Zoom and meet other Fresh Starts Experts! Our Experts have been meeting on Zoom and then meeting up in real life! How do the press and media opportunities work?

Press and Media opportunities are a huge part of becoming a Fresh Starts Expert - so, how exactly do they work? See below for information and let us know if you have questions!

Are press and media opportunities included in my monthly membership? 

Yes, they are! Pretty cool, huh? 

How will I know about the opportunities? 

Great question. If our team sees a press opportunity that would be a good fit for you, based on your expertise and experience, we will send an email to you. These emails will come from olivia@freshstartsregistry.com. Included in the email will be a press query, a deadline, and information. We do not share the press outlets with the experts, as those are liable to change. 

There are two types of emails you may get: personal press queries and general press queries. If it's a general press query, it is sent to more than one person, and you do not have to answer the query (if you are short on time, or feel that you cannot answer it). You will know it is a general press query because your name will not be included in the body of the email.

However, personal press queries are sent to you when we have worked with a journalist to secure a quote for you in a publication. These are mandatory to answer, as the journalist is waiting for your response. It is critical that we build long-term relationships with journalists, so please keep this in mind! 

How long can it take to see published pieces and how will I know?

We track everything and follow up with journalists. Sometimes publishing can take a day, sometimes a week, and sometimes even months! It is all dependent on the piece, the outlet, the journalist, and so forth. When a press piece is published, you will get an email with all of the information and links!

How do I answer the queries? 

Please answer the queries with original, thorough, and thoughtful responses. Responses should be at least 5-6 sentences long. We know it takes time, but we have to submit original responses (aka, the responses cannot be previously published anywhere online, even on your own blog or website); often journalists run the responses through a filter to make sure they are original! Please make sure to respond within the deadline, as journalism can be fast-moving!

Does every press query turn into live press?

Just as with traditional public relations, we cannot guarantee any publication, however, we're always working on relationships with journalists, which always helps! 

What about other media opportunities? 

One of the perks of being a Fresh Starts Expert is we always have our eyes out for any opportunity for you! If something comes our way that is a good fit for you, we will be in touch via Slack or email.

  • As Fresh Starts Experts’ Community is a business development platform, website stats are not being shared at this time. We do not guarantee clients or leads to any of our experts as our focus for you and your membership is business development, growth, thought leader expansion, press opportunities and community based networking. When people are going through big changes they utilize on average 10 experts, our network serves as a referral system from expert to expert. We will say that Fresh Starts gets over 50K views a month so that’s quite literally 10s of thousands of eyes on you and your business every month.

  • Our Expert Community is meant to be a development tool in the growth and development of your company. Despite our many website hits and the hiring of our experts by Freshies, that is not our focus- our focus is getting your business collateral, website, social media and marketing to a place that is thriving for you. Additionally, our network has far reaches, particularly into the press and media- when you sign up for a membership with Fresh Starts you are on our PR list and we are constantly looking to get you placements across the media landscape. Between our many hours of business development assistance each week, press opportunities, over 200 pages of content and workbooks, hours of video content webinars and community networking we’re confident an involved community member will feel that the return is far more than $55 a month.

  • As Fresh Starts believes that a rising tide raises all ships, we have no plans at this time to cap membership or categories. We are firm believers in community and collaboration over competition. In an effort to prevent overwhelm for Freshies looking to connect with Experts we have made a commitment to thoroughly vet all incoming experts and maintain a curated experience.

  • Being a Fresh Starts Expert is only $55.00 a month, or you can pay yearly at $660.00. And if you ask we’ll probably send you a code for your first month free! Plus, write off the entire cost of membership as a legitimate business expense!

  • Woohoo! We are so excited to have you on board. Here is what happens once you’ve paid:

    • You will now have access to the dashboard using the same login you use to pay and manage your account. This has all the information about schedules, scheduling, ways to participate, access to the video library, content library and more! The dashboard also has the Zoom link to the room we hang in for our weekly recurring events.

    • You will receive an email from Squarespace confirming your membership and payment.

    • Your profile will go live in 3-5 business days.

    • We will send an email once your profile is live! If we have any questions or any information is missing we will note it in this email.

    • Another email will come through with ways to get involved and get the ball rolling!

    • The first Sunday after your profile is live you will begin getting our weekly Expert email which outlines any special events through the week, new opportunities and more.
