A little about Stacey...
Assisting clients in navigating, preparing for, understanding and accepting all elements of the divorce process and beyond, into divorce recovery. Most people faced with divorce move through the process in an emotionally charged state. For the attorney, this can mean spending less time practicing law and more time managing client emotions. For the client, this means depleting financial resources more than necessary. I collaborate regularly with my clients, ensuring that their decisions are contemplative, well-informed and logical versus reactive, emotional and ego-driven. I work with clients to navigate the business of divorce. From preparing files, financial affidavits, and responses to requests for discovery, to conducting lifestyle analyses that result in a defensible product, to working on custody and plans, I help them maximize the efficiency of meeting between my clients and their attorney. I teach my clients that effective communication relies upon a delicate balance of empathy and assertiveness. I work with my clients to better understand their wants and needs, and teach them to remove impertinent emotion from their communication which can often help deescalate a tense situation. Clients benefit from my knowledgeable, trained, experience-driven support throughout the divorce process. Attorneys benefit from having a prepared, organized client with realistic expectations, derived from logic instead of emotion.
