The Co-Parent Collective is a child-centered divorce education and coaching company co-founded by Kate Alcamo, LCMFT, and Dr. Hallie Strauss, PsyD — two clinicians with decades of combined experience working with children and families. The Collective was built to answer a question its founders had been asking for years: why are we always meeting these families after the damage is done? After nearly two decades of watching children, adults & families sit in therapy offices unpacking the wounds of divorce, Kate and Hallie set out to build the resources they wished had existed sooner — the education, tools, and frameworks that give divorcing parents the chance to do this differently, before the harm. The Co-Parent Collective offers a growing library of child-centered courses, coaching, and professional trainings designed to help families navigate divorce and co-parenting with clarity, confidence, and their children at the center. The flagship course, The Child-Centered Divorce Playbook: The First 90 Days, walks parents through the most critical early window after separation. Two additional courses are currently in development: Child-Centered Co-Parenting and The Next Chapter (Everything Dating and Blending). The Collective also provides individual coaching for divorcing and co-parenting parents, and trainings and consultations for therapists, attorneys, and other divorce professionals who serve families. Rooted in child development, secure attachment research, and nearly twenty years of clinical work with children, The Co-Parent Collective is built on a simple thesis: how a divorce is handled matters far more than the fact that it happened. When children are protected from adult conflict, given age-appropriate honesty, and supported emotionally through the process, they can thrive. Based in Bethesda, Maryland.
